JPL Solar Thermal Power Systems Projects Collection, 1963-1986.

The collection includes 810 ten and one-half by twelve inch Viewgraphs with JPL still image collection prefixes, 170, 171, 231, 341, 342, 344, 353, 357, and several P number series and 1 JPL numbered Viewgraph. Also included, material on the JPL Solar Thermal Power Systems Project, and its subprojects, i.e., the Small Community Solar Thermal Power Experiment (SCSE), Parabolic Dish Collectors, Parabolic Dish Test Site, the Small Thermal Project, with JPL/Department of Energy and Energy Research Development documents, the Small Power Systems Project files, and Solar Thermal Technology Project files. This consists of interoffice memoranda, JPL interoffice publications, and contractor publications for JPL/DOE, Solar Energy and Solar Thermal Equipment, and solar thermal power systems experiments and project documentation. Also included are industrial energy conservation reports, industrial energy conservation presentations and proposals, industrial energy conservation miscellaneous files, parabolic dish collector systems files, annual technical reports, quarterly reviews, costs assessments and summary reports and plans, cost proposals, cost management plans, Department of Energy/JPL proceedings fourth and fifth parabolic dish program annual review and plans, Stirling and Brayton engine systems files, procurement and budget plans, significant events and external reports, phase I, II and III final studies, quarterly status meeting viewgraphs reports, newsletters, press kits, overhead projection transparencies, slides and small thermal power systems technologies material from 1963 through 1986. The collection also contains a primary file folder chronological date order grouping in Boxes 1 through 30, arranged according to the subject matter. That includes all internal reports, travel log reports, significant events, interoffice memoranda and correspondences from 1963-1986. In addition, a secondary collection organization consists of Boxes 31 through 80 according to subject matter that includes all assorted published contractual reports, plans, quarterly status meeting viewgraphs reports, 5012-5015 quarterly review and management reports, bi-monthly reviews, 35 mm slides and trasparencies, conceptual design final technical reports and summaries that are arranged by projects and subprojects according to title. This forms the bulk of the collection from 1978-1986.
